JACKSBORO, TN (WATE) – A Campbell County woman was indicted by a grand jury on several counts of statutory rape.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office believes Karlie Brooke Taylor engaged in sexual acts with a minor sometime between February-March of this year. At the time, Taylor was believed to be at least four years older than the victim.

The indictment states that the grand jury believes Taylor “unlawfully, feloniously, and intentional, knowingly or recklessly engage in sexual penetration.” It goes on to say that the suspect was in a “position of trust, or had supervisory or disciplinary power over” the victim.

She faces charges for several counts of mitigated statutory rape and statutory rape by authority figure. Taylor is out on bond on $5,000.
