Contractor facing additional charges in Unicoi Co.

Glenn Harris

UNICOI COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – The contractor at the center of a News Channel 11 investigation was arrested again on more allegations he misused contractor payments.

Even though Johnson City Police Department officers arrested Glenn Harris, his new charges stem from Unicoi County.

The district attorney’s office in Erwin confirmed that Harris was taken into custody Friday on two felony charges — theft over $1,000 and misapplication of contract funds.

Those charges stem from a case involving homeowner Faye Adkins back in 2014.

We first told you Adkins story in February, where she said she hired Harris to do work on her house, paid him thousands of dollars up front, but said he never finished some of the projects.

Harris is accused of misusing more than $3,000 that Adkins paid him.

He also is facing similar charges in Sullivan County involving a different homeowner.

Harris was released into Unicoi County’s custody Friday and according to court documents his bond was set at $7,500.

He was scheduled to appear in Sullivan County court next week on charges he faces in that county.
