Chili cookoff benefits Alzheimer’s Association in Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – A group in the Tri-Cities raised money Thursday for Alzheimer’s research, and they did it with a cooking competition. Our own Kasey Marler was the judge for the 8th Annual Chili Cookoff at the Dominion Assisted Living facility in Johnson City.

Fifteen vendors whipped up their best recipes and set them before the judges.  Each team set up a booth with a different theme – some were decorated for Halloween, Star Wars and a couple  were celebrating football season.

All of the money raised goes toward the Alzheimer’s Association and the End Alzheimer’s.

The walk is on September 23 at Willow Springs Park at 9 a.m.
