Carter County home, vehicles damaged in fire after homeowner leaves for work

CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Fire officials are investigating a fire that damaged a mobile home and vehicles inin Carter County.

The fire started this morning around 6:30 a.m. on Big Sandy Road. Crews from the Stoney Creek, Hampton, and Watauga Volunteer fire departments responded.

No one was injured, but neighbors told fire offiicials the homeowner left for work around an hour before the fire started.

However, three vehicles have burned as a result.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
