JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Some East Tennessee State University students are responsible for getting the game ball to Saturday’s Bucs at Bristol game at Bristol Motor Speedway.

During Wednesday’s practice, Coach Carl Torbush handed off the ball to members of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, who will run the distance Saturday morning to get the ball to the speedway.

Fraternity members said they’re doing it to raise money for a good cause — Second Tour’s Jingle Bell Shop Hop.

According to an ETSU news release, the funds raised will go towards helping veterans pay bills, afford shelter and buy Christmas gifts.
