BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) – Some football fans had a little too much fun this weekend and filled two Downtown Bristol fountains with maroon colored concrete dye.
Crews have since emptied the fountains at Cumberland Square Park and near WCYB and are now pressure washing the purple concrete below. Bristol Parks and Recreation crews estimate more than $1000 in damage from the dye as well as a pipe burst.
Capt. Maynard Ratcliff with Bristol, VA police tells News Channel 11 that they will only start an investigation if parks and recreation files a formal complaint.
