Thursday, Hawkins County EMS agreed to hire 20 former Church Hill EMS workers on a part-time basis.

“There is a lot of information we need to gather, such as the finances of Hawkins County EMS, who has requested to assume the duties of the whole county, so we need to meet with them and assure they are financially capable,” said Stacy Vaughan, Public Safety Committee Chairman of Hawkins County Commission.
That meeting will take place next Friday. Hawkins County says it will employ the former Church Hill EMS personnel for 30 to 60 days.
