BRISTOL, TN (WJHL) – When Donna Franczek began her teacher career at Haynesfield Elementary School in 1978 she was the youngest teacher on staff,
36 years later she is the longest tenured teacher at the school. Franczek says the key to her longevity is her love of the students.
She teaches second grade reading and science. Her former students now have children going to Haynesfield and she sees many
similarities in the 2nd generation students. She also sees the same love of learning she saw so many years ago.
“They still have their little quirks, but they still love to read and do the things they used to care about,” Said Franczek.
