WEST BOUNTIFUL, UTAH (Aug. 5, 2016) – Current ETSU assistant women’s golf coach, Chloe Garner, won her second long drive competition in her early career as she outdrove the competition with a 363-yard drive to earn first place at the Rockwell Blast in Utah last week.
After taking first in the Professional International Long Drive Challenge at Keith Hills Golf Club, she took the grand prize just three weeks later in Utah. In her first-ever competition at Keith Hills, she knocked the ball 285 yards in tough weather conditions. With experience and better conditions, Garner outdrove that bout by 78 yards (363 yards) at Lakeside Golf Course.
However during the qualifying rounds, she knocked a 370-yard drive, which is a record at the Rockwell Blast.
Garner looks to progress as a professional long drive competitor as she already sealed a spot in the Golf Channel’s World Long Drive Championships in Oklahoma in October.
