Holsclaw wins majority vote over Unicoi’s Lingerfelt for 4th district seat in GOP primary

CARTER/UNICOI (WJHL) – State Rep. John Holsclaw wins re-election in Tennessee District 4 with 66% of the votes over Tim Lingerfelt.

State House District 4 includes Carter and Unicoi counties.

There are no candidates in the Democratic primary, meaning Holsclaw wins the race would be unopposed for the office in the November election.

Lingerfelt, a GOP contender from Unicoi County, worked for the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department in the 80s and served on the county and town’s fire departments for a combination of nearly 30 years.
