ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – Families and students are invited to join Elizabethton City Schools and partners for an exciting inaugural Back-2-School Bash just before the start of the new school year.
Hundreds of Elizabethton students will receive backpacks full of school supplies, and all attendees will enjoy free inflatables, lunch and live music.
Various businesses and organizations will be on site providing resources for families to make the transition into a new school year the best it can be.
Kids will be able to get free haircuts and trims as well as scheduling appointments with the Carter County Health Department for immunizations, wellness checkups and eye exams.
Families can learn about the numerous extracurricular and after-school programs available as well as nutrition, hygiene and healthcare resources. Local colleges will also be at the Bash with information on opportunities at each.
Information will be available about open houses at each school, opportunities throughout the school year and ways parents can stay involved and up-to-date on their child’s progress.
