JOHNSON CITY (WJHL) – Join the movement and show your support for the 110,000 Tennesseans living with Alzheimer’s by shining your light at Light the Way with Alzheimer’s Tennessee on Saturday, July 16 at the Gray Fossil Site & Natural History Museum.
Individual volunteers and Teams representing families, area companies, churches, and organizations will take part in the signature fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Tennessee.
“This disease steals memories, independence, and ultimately, the dignity of those we love,” says Alzheimer’s Tennessee’s Northeast Director Tracey Kendall. “Light the Way is an opportunity for those of us in the Tri-Cities to show support and offer hope for our neighbors facing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.”
Light the Way is a Saturday morning filled with celebration, food, door prizes, and musical entertainment by Kryss Dula & Friends. The event culminates in a beautiful, memorable, and uplifting candle lighting ceremony.
