ORLANDO (AP) – The Pulse nightclub has been released back to its owner, one month after it became the location of the deadliest mass shooting by a lone gunman in modern American history.
On June 12, Omar Mateen traveled to the Orlando club and opened fire taking the lives of Forty-nine people, and injured dozens more, Police would kill Mateen during the incident. An investigation into the shooting by both The Florida Department of Law enforcement and the FBI is ongoing.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement released a statement about the return of the Pulse to its owner stating ” This event marks an important milestone in our community’s recovery from the tragic events of June 12, 2016″. The owner of the Club Barbara Poma also said she is unsure about what lies ahead for the Pulse.
