JCPD: Johnson City woman charged in auto burglaries investigation

JOHNSON CITY, TN – Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a 25-year-old Johnson City woman following an investigation of multiple auto burglary cases around East Maple St.

According to a JCPD news release, Bethany McClellan attempted to use a driver’s license and social security card that was stolen from one of the burglarized vehicles when police stopped her vehicle July 8.

McClellan was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and theft of property.

She was being held at Washington County Detention Center on $11,000 bond.

She was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
