DALLAS (AP) – Philando Castile, an African American man fatally shot by a police officer last week, will be remembered at a funeral service today in ST. Paul Minnesota.
Thirty-two-year-old Philando Castile was shot several times during a traffic stop by a police officer. During the event Castile told the officer that he was licensed to carry a firearm. The events that happened after the shooting were live streamed on Facebook by Castile’s girlfriend.
The shooting in Minnesota was one of three shooting incidents last week that involved African Americans and Police officers, The other two took place in Baton Rouge Louisiana, and Dallas Texas.
