Dolly Parton: Speaks on legacy of Pat Summitt

NASHVILLE (WJHL) – Tennessee music icon Dolly Parton spoke today on her relationship with legendary coach Pat Summitt. Parton had kind words to say about the former vols coach ” We were both proud of the fact that we were born and raised Tennessee girls and proud of each others success.” Parton later went on to say that Pat and herself were not the best of friends, but that they did have a special bond.

Summitt died on June 28, after a long battle with early onset dementia Alzheimer’s type. A memorial service will be held for Summitt tonight at 7, at Thompson Boling arena, the doors will open at 5:30.
