One of the largest Comic related collections up for auction

ABINGDON, Va. (WJHL)— A superhero fanatic in Marion, Virginia left behind one of the largest DC and Marvel collections on the East Coast, and now those items are up for sale.

Alan Shope, owner of A-OK Auction Company, is helping to sell the rare items.

“The entire collection of the busts, the figurines, the art, and the glass…we believe to be between 300 to 500 thousand dollars,” said Shope.

Dr. Robert Bruce Evans of Marion, Virginia passed away leaving behind all of his collection, and it can all be yours for the right price.

“One thing Mr. .Evans did love was iron man,” he said pointing to one of the many Iron Man figurines on display. “These are not toys.”

The auction can be found online, or you can check out the items in person on Sunday July 3rd at 11:00 a.m.

“There is over a 1000 figurines and busts,” said Shope.MARVEL2

The collection, which fills most of the room includes commissioned pieces, and some figurines that are one of a kind.

“It’s absolutely out of this world,” he said.

The items will be on display at A-OK Auction Company located at 18100 Lee Highway in Abingdon, Va.
