Fire damages Rogersville home, displaces family

ROGERSVILLE, TN (WJHL) – A Rogersville family was displaced Friday night following a fire at their home and first responders had to shut a road down for several hours to put it out.

The fire happened at a home on Park Boulevard Circle and Rogersville Fire Chief David Jackson said the fire started just before 2 p.m.

One of our viewers in a nearby Hardee’s parking lot captured crews on camera trying to put out the fire.

Jackson said his firefighters were on-scene for three hours.

A woman and her child were in the home when the fire happened, but were able to get out of the home safely.

Jackson said the home was heavily damaged.
