GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) – A pedestrian was hit by a car in the westbound lane of the 900 block of Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville Saturday night.
The wreck happened around 10 p.m. and witnesses told police that Charles Hess ran in front of a vehicle, was slammed into the hood and was thrown over the top of the car.
According to the crash report, Hess had been drinking.
Hess was flown by Wings Air Rescue to the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mountain States Health Alliance officials said the pedestrian was listed to be in serious, but stable condition.
