MAP: Where to buy wine in the Tri-Cities, rest of state on July 1?

(WJHL) – This Friday, dozens of grocery stores in our area and hundreds of others across the state will have the okay to sell wine.  News Channel 11 mapped out a list of locations of where you can purchase wine in the Tri-Cities and across the state on July 1. Shoppers will be able to purchase wine between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. through Saturday. No wine sales are allowed on Sundays and on some holidays.

Last week, the Alcoholic Beverage Commission announced more than half of Tennessee’s grocery stores applied to sell wine under the new state liquor law.

According to the ABC, some of the retailers that received licenses to sell wine are Kroger, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Food City – to name a few.

The ABC reports it’s received 499 applications, sent 398 conditional letters of approval and delivered 279 retail food store licenses.
