Man charged after car crashes into Bristol, Tennessee police cruiser

BRISTOL, TN  (WJHL) – A Bristol Tennessee man has been charged with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle after crashing into a police cruiser.

Police say the accident happened Sunday morning at the intersection of Commonwealth and Euclid Avenues.

Reports say a Bristol, Tennessee police officer was in in route to a crash on Interstate-81 when another vehicle slammed into the side of his car. The police cruiser reportedly drove through an intersection but witnesses report the police cruiser had emergency lights and sirens on when the incident occurred.

The officer nor the driver of the other car was injured during the accident.
