GATLINBURG (WATE) – North Carolina 911 workers received a tip Saturday morning about a truck matching the description of the one Sylvia Ringstrom was last seen in. Responders discovered the truck parked off the shoulder near Mountain Sterling Road with Sylvia’s body inside. Foul play is not suspected, but investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
Ringstrom was an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s disease. She went missing June 23 from her home in Gatlinburg.
