JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – You don’t need to be a track star, but have a heart to help those fight cancer.
This weekend many will take part in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Johnson City celebration where people take turns walking, running or otherwise circling around a track “relay” style to raise funds to fight cancer.
Hundreds of cancer survivors and their supporters are expected to come out to the community block party at Winged Deer Park Lakeside Festival Plaza.
The Johnson City event hopes to raise funds to help save lives and honor cancer survivors, their caregivers and pay tribute to cancer victims.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature lots of great entertainment.
Our very own Nate Morabito will be an emcee at the event.
The event takes place this Saturday, June 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For more information: http://www.RelayForLife.org/JohnsonCityTN or 423-975-0635
