Abingdon police seek person who drove away from crash

ABINGDON, VA (WJHL) – Police in Abingdon need your help finding a person who drove away from a crash with injuries. Police say they were called to the crash in the 100 block of West Main Street and Cummings Street around 12:26 a.m. on Friday.

Officers say the car had been rear-ended by another vehicle, but it left the scene.

The owner says the car was struck by a newer model silver Toyota Tacoma driven by a man wearing a neck brace. The first two letters of the Virginia license plate are thought to be “PE”.

The truck was observed, according to a report, traveling eastbound on Main Street.
