VERO BEACH, Fla. (WKRN) – The U.S. Navy Blue Angels have cancelled an upcoming show in Florida.
They were supposed to fly in the Vero Beach Air Show which runs from June 25-26, but the appearance was cancelled by the Navy.
It was not immediately known why they were not partcipating.
The Tactical Demonstration Team from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106 will fly in the Blue Angles’ slot.
On June 2, the Blue Angels lost one of their own when Marine Captain Jeff Kuss was killed.
His F/A-18 Hornet crashed in Smyrna while the team was practicing for the Great Tennessee Airshow.
