BRISTOL, TN- The Thunder Valley Nationals kicked off Friday at the Bristol Dragway and two Pro Stock drivers continued their outstanding season long performances.
Summit drivers Greg Anderson and Jason Line have dominated in the Pro Stock this season, combining to win all ten of the race events this year. Anderson has five wins and Line also has five wins.
The two continued their strong performances Saturday afternoon at Bristol. Anderson and Line faced off in the 3rd round of qualifying, and just like their results this season, it was a dead heat. Both crossing the line in 6.675 seconds. Line would post a faster time in the 4th round, with Anderson sitting in 2nd place heading into Sunday’s eliminations.
The Summit boys have found victory lane at every race this year and hope to keep the title in the hands of a Summit driver Sunday.
“When we do that and the two cars make the final round, no matter who wins, the race team wins,” said Anderson. “Don’t get me wrong, Jason and I, we each want that trophy and we’ve duked it out ten times so far. It’s been quite a ride but we don’t want that ride to end yet, we’re having fun.”
“He’s much easier to live with when I win,” said Line. “So that’s what it comes down to in the end. But as long as one of the two Summit cars is in the final then we’re pretty happy.”
