NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man is in Metro police custody Tuesday after authorities say he drove his SUV into a home and fled authorities with two children inside his vehicle.
Metro officers at the scene told News 2 reporter Jerry Barlar that the man drove into the home of his children’s mother on the 4900 block of Millerwood Drive during a domestic situation.
When police arrived at the scene the man had two children inside his SUV, an infant and a toddler.
Authorities told News 2 the man drove into oncoming traffic to elude police.
Metro police ended the pursuit and were later able to catch up to him in a nearby neighborhood.
The man was taken into custody and the children were checked out by paramedics. Family members arrived at the scene to take custody of the child.
Authorities have not disclosed the mans identity or if he has been charged.
