Knoxville Brewfest to raise money for muscular dystrophy

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – More than 80 breweries will be at this year’s Knoxville Brewfest.

The event raises money for CureDuchenne, a nonprofit for muscular dystrophy awareness. Duchenne is a disease that is usually diagnosed in boys around the age of 5. Most children do not live past their mid-20s, according to the organization.

Attendees can try different drinks at the event near the Southern Railway Station on Gay Street and Depot Avenue.

Tickets are available online for $50. Attendees will receive a tasting glass and a map.
