VANCLEAVE, Mississippi (WTNH)– An amazing moment happened between an injuredowl named GiGi and a staff rescue worker who helped rehabilitate her.

According to USA Today, GiGi appears to “hug” staff member Doug Pojeky while he was checking up on her.

Wild at Heart Rescue captured the photos of the hug and shared them on Facebookon June 4. You can see GiGi’s head snuggled into Doug’s neck as her wings were wrapped across his shoulders.

GiGi was brought to the rescue facility with a head trauma, that was most likely caused by a car crash, according to the organization.

“Doug was checking on his little patient, and this is what happened,” the rescueorganization wrote in the caption of the post. “She threw both wings around him and gave him an owl hug.”
