DICKENSON COUNTY, VA (WJHL) – The Dickenson County School System is facing a $1 million budget cut, which will impact dozens of jobs.

Robinson said 85 percent of the school system’s budget goes to employees salary and benefits.
In addition to staffing cuts, the school system is eliminating instructional, fine arts and athletic programs.
Since 2009, there has been a total of 99 full-time staff members who have lost their jobs due to funding.
