TRI-CITIES, TN (WJHL) – Local businesses that want to get their piece of the pie from the Battle at Bristol football game have a way to get the word out about their business and any events they have planned for that week.
Convention and Visitors Bureau’s from each of the three Tri-Cities are putting together a “Visitor’s Playbook,” a free online listing of all local activities leading up to the big game.
Jenna Moore, with the Johnson City Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the playbook is a great way for businesses “to get the name out to visitors, and also for the visitors to go to these local places, have a great experience, and then come back even when there’s not a football game in town.”
“It’s a free opportunity for any business that wants to be a part of this,” Moore said. “They can submit any event or activity they have the week leading up to the Battle at Bristol, and it will be online at BattleInOurBackyard.com.”
The list will appear on that website starting July 1.
If you want to get your business listed in the “Visitor’s Playbook,” it is free, but you need to contact the Johnson City Convention and Visitors Bureau at 423-534-2061 as soon as possible.
The Battle at Bristol football game between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Virginia Tech Hokies is set for Sept. 10.
