Chick-fil-A restaurants in Tri-Cities region honor fallen on Memorial Day

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL)- At the Chick-fil-A on W. Market Street in Johnson City Monday was a reminder of why we celebrate Memorial Day.

Owner and operator of the restaurant, Darrell Fowler, said they decorated a booth for the missing man table display.

The booth was reserved to honor the missing comrades in arms.

“We want to acknowledge their presence even though they are not here, and that is what that table represents. I think a lot of people like me have been a little teary eyed, its been wonderful, that’s a regular table for several of our customers and they are happy to by pass it today,” Fowler said.

Other Chick-fil-A locations in the Tri-Cities region, including the restaurant at the Pinnacle in Bristol, and on East Stone Drive in Kingsport shared the same display.
