Trial set for man charged in March 2014 shooting in downtown JC

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – A man charged with shooting multiple people in March of 2014 and killing one person will go to trial later this year.

Jamarcus Jackson appeared in Washington County court Friday morning where his trial was set for Nov. 9.

Jackson is accused of opening fire in the parking lot of a former downtown Johnson City restaurant, The Battery.

During the shooting, Jackson allegedly killed one person and injured three others.

He is charged with first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
