NASHVILLE (WATE) – Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning does not plan to start coaching, the Vol for Life stated in at the Middle Tennessee Sports Awards Thursday night in Nashville.

However, Manning does plan to attend more than one UT football game per season, according to the Tennessean. The newspaper says Manning stated, “I’m a huge Butch Jones fan. I’m excited about the Tennessee Vols and how we’re gonna do this year.”

Manning gave advice to high school athletes at the event in front of more than 1,000 people.

“Don’t be in a hurry to get out of high school,” said Manning. “Enjoy your friendships, enjoy the relationships with your coaches, with your teachers. Enjoy these last few years with your parents because once you leave for college, you just don’t have that quality time.”
