JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a woman after she allegedly robbed a convenience store early Friday morning.

Police said around 2 a.m. they received a call from Roadrunner Market on Sunset Drive saying a woman just robbed the store.

When officers arrived on scene they found the woman — later identified as Jennifer Ledford, 37 — in her car in the parking lot.

When officers tried to approach Ledford’s car, she drove off and crashed on East Lakeview Drive. Officers said she pushed a man, broke his phone and then ran away.

Police were able to catch up with Ledford and medical personnel attempted to check her condition, but she spat on a member of the Johnson City Fire Department.

Ledford was charged with robbery, felony evading arrest, assault and vandalism.

Her bond was set at $62,000.
