Bristol Police make arrest in reported road rage incident

UPDATE: Bristol, Tennessee Police Department officers arrested a man in an alleged road rage incident that happened April 12 at the intersection of 13th and West State Street.

According to a BPD news release, officers were called to the intersection Tuesday after a report of a road rage incident involving one driver pointing a weapon at another driver.

When officers arrived, the man had left the area.

During an investigation, detectives identified Brett L. Greer, 29, as the suspect and he was arrested.

Greer was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon.

Bristol police are also still investigating a report of possible shots fired in the 600 block of Cherry Street, which reportedly happened around 3 p.m. Thursday.

According to reports, a silver Chevrolet Equinox was involved in both incidents.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

BRISTOL, TN (WJHL) – Bristol, Tennessee Police Department officers are investigating a report of possible shots fired in the 600 block of Cherry Street Thursday around 3 p.m.

According to a BPD news release, the police department received the report of possible shots fired in the 600 block of Cherry Street and when police arrived they found a silver Chevrolet Equinox.

Police said the Equinox was involved in a road rage incident in the 1300 block of West State Street earlier in the week. During the incident, the driver pulled out a pistol.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

According to the release, both cases are under investigation and anyone with information on the identity of the man or owner of the vehicle is asked to call Inv. Dannielle Eller at 989-5568, calling 764-TIPS(8477) or email tips@bristoltn.org.
