Man making threats captured by Washington County, VA Sheriff deputies

WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA (WJHL) – Sheriff deputies have captured an armed man who had barricaded himself inside a mobile home trailer with a gun for four hours on Sunday afternoon.

Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman says around 8:00pm the man was being taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital for an evaluation. Authorities say The man had barricaded himself inside a home at the Country Living Mobile Home park in the Meadowview area and threatened to harm himself. The sheriff says tear gas was used to get the man out of the mobile home. There were no injuries reported.

We are told that charges are pending.
