Man arrested for stealing more than $800 worth of merchandise from Johnson City Wal-Mart

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Johnson City Police arrested 37-year-old Jerry Stonecipher for shoplifting at an area Walmart on Friday. Police say the incident happened at the Wal-Mart on Browns Mill Road.

Stonecipher was stopped by employees after he pushed a shopping car loaded with merchandised valued at $846.29 from the store without paying.

He was charged with felony shoplifting  and taken to the Washington County Detention Center and given a $5,000.00. He is excepted to appear in court Monday at 1:30 pm.
