Funeral arrangements announced for Trooper Chad P. Dermyer

RICHMOND, Va.(WRIC) – Funeral arrangements have been finalized for Virginia State Police Trooper Chad P. Dermyer, who was shot and killed in the line of duty at a bus station in Richmond.

Thirty-seven-year-old Trooper Chad Phillip Dermyer died at the VCU Medical Center Thursday night as a result of a gunshot wound he received after he was confronted by a 34-year-old gunman James Brown III of Aurora, Illinois at the Greyhound bus station located on North Boulevard in Richmond.

A private graveside burial in Gloucester County will immediately follow the service.
