Child alerts grandparents of early morning house fire in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN (WKRN) – Seven people, including five children, were able to get out of a North Nashville home safely when it caught fire.

Firefighters rushed to a home near Clay Street and 14th Ave N. Monday morning.

Two grandparents and five children were inside, when a five-year-old child saw smoke in the house around 7:00 a.m.

The child woke the grandparents and got everyone out of the house safely.

WKRN’s crew on the scene saw, at least, one hole on the side of the home.

Firefighters were seen both inside and outside the house investigating the fire.

Crews have not said what caused the fire.
