LIMESTONE, TN (WJHL)- Hundreds of runners gathered on Saturday morning for the annual Joggin’ for the Noggin’ race in Limestone.
All of the proceeds from this race will go toward the Crumley House, the region’s only brain injury rehabilitation center.
Executive Director Guynn Edwards said they were close to reaching the funding they need in order to expand the facility.
“What we are trying to do is raise enough money to build another wing. We have 170 people on a waiting list to get in so we are in dire need of more beds, and more space, so this event will help us raise money to go toward that new wing,” Edwards said.
Close to 450 runners participated and at the end of the day, Edwards said he hoped this event would bring in somewhere in the neighborhood of $10,000.
