Cast members parade Aslan through downtown Greeneville to promote upcoming Capitol Theatre shows

GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) – A 105 pound lion is roaming the streets of downtown Greeneville, but the public doesn’t need to be afraid.

“The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” cast members are promoting next month’s show at the Capitol Theatre by hitting the streets with the star of the show. South Carolina-based Logos Theatre made Aslan, the lion, from scratch. The theatre is bringing him on tour and he’s soaking up plenty of attention.

“It’s really exciting to walk him through Greeneville, Tennessee,” Logos Theatre spokesperson Rachel Sanders said. “We’ve been getting awesome, awesome response. People hopping out of their cars, taking video. Just walking down the street you have people running after you, stopping traffic.”

“Narnia” runs April 15 through 17 at the Capitol Theatre.
