Carter Co. deputies charge Valley Forge business owner in gambling operation

CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Carter County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged a Valley Forge business owner Wednesday, after receiving information of an ongoing gambling operation being conducted at the business.

According to a CCSO news release, deputies received information about the gambling operation at Orval’s Billiards, 4582 Highway 19-E in the Valley Forge Community on March 21.

The sheriff’s office conducted an undercover operation and a search warrant was obtained.

During the search, deputies found gambling machines, evidence related to the gambling operation and evidence connected to a recurring poker game.

The owner of the business, Orval Pollard, was charged with gambling promotion and possession of a gambling device or record.
