Crossville woman pleads guilty to ex-boyfriend’s murder

CROSSVILLE (WATE) – After being accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend, a Cumberland County woman was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.

Stephanie Cole was indicted on charges of pre-meditated first degree murder in the death of Louis Tammaro Jr. at a home in the Lake Tansi area in June 2014.

Cole plead guilty to first degree murder in the Cumberland County Circuit Court.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they found Tammaro dead at a home on Ackia Drive. Cole was arrested.

Tammaro lived inside the home with Cole, his girlfriend of eight years. However, friends say the couple split up recently. They said Tammaro went to pick up his belongings and never left.
