Marco Rubio makes a campaign stop in Knoxville.

KNOXVILLE, TN (WJHL) – Ahead of Super Tuesday, Senator Marco Rubio made a stop in Knoxville Monday morning to greet supporters.

Before Rubio took the stage, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam both endorsed Rubio for President.

During the 30 minute long rally, Rubio discussed changes he would make if elected.

Rubio’s proposals included fixing problems within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, giving more power to states, and repealing the Affordable Care Act.

Rubio also made a few comments about Republican front-runner Donald Trump, calling Trump a con man who pretends to relate to the average American.

The Senator also poked fun at Trumps private jet calling it “Hair Force One”.

Rubio ended the rally stating,”Politics and politicians and government have failed you for decades, in both parties.”

Senator Rubio said he is the candidate that voters can depend on.

“If you want to be President of the U.S. you must be willing to love all the American people even the ones that don’t love you back,” said Rubio.

Rubio encouraged supporters to head to the polls on Tuesday.

Rubio will also make stops in Georgia, Arkansas, and Oklahoma on Monday.
