JOHNSON CITY, TN – A new traffic signal at Bristol Highway and Carroll Creek Road will begin flashing operation at 10 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 18).

This signal will have a flashing operation only until March 3, to help drivers become accustomed to their presence.

Bristol Highway will have a flashing yellow signal to advise motorists to use caution proceeding through the intersection.

Carroll Creek Road will have a flashing red signal to show that drivers are still required to stop and not proceed until traffic clears.

This signal is a part of a project that includes new installations and upgrades to existing signals.

The project – which is financed with federal funds – is a collaboration between Johnson City and the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
