CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Nashville woman and her boyfriend are in jail Thursday in Cheatham County after being charged in the aggravated armed robbery of a strip club patron.
Police said 32-year-old Tiffany Gibbs, an exotic dancer at a Nashville strip club, reportedly agreed to meet a patron after work early Wednesday morning.
“She didn’t look like she was on drugs, she didn’t strike me as that type of person or I would have been nowhere near her,” the victim, who News 2 is not identifying, said.
The 39-year-old man said he thought he was going to meet the woman at her home, but it turned out the address she gave him is a secluded park known as ‘rails and trails.’
“She gave me an address to her house. I was just hoping to go by her house and maybe have a drink,” the victim said. When he drove his pick up truck into the park, he grew concerned.
He saw Gibbs get out of a truck and said that was when she and 31-year-old boyfriend Cody Cook allegedly ambushed him with a shotgun.
The victim told News 2 he was in Nashville to see a doctor, and went to the local strip club to drink a few beers. The couple ended up stealing $26,000 worth of business checks and cash.
The couple threw the man’s keys and cell phone into the woods, and reportedly opened fire at the man’s truck. Photos showed the fender peppered with bullets, just a few inches from where the victim was crouching.
Eventually, a few duck hunters called 911 and hours later, Cheatham County detectives raided Cody Cook’s camping trailer on Highway 12.
Inside, they found some of the victim’s money, but the man said most of it was gone by the time authorities got to the scene.
Officers also found the shotgun they said was used in the robbery. Detectives found marijuana and pills.
“I’m liable to lose my career over what they did,” the Selmer business man victim told News 2.
The couple is charged with aggravated armed robbery.
Police said Tiffany Gibbs’s 15-year-old son was also found at the camper. Detectives said he was inebriated and is now in the custody of the state.
