Prom season will be here before you know it, but for some people in our area, being able to afford that perfect dress is not an option.
Every year the Cinderella Project of East Tennessee hopes to change that for as many girls as they can.
The organization is currently collecting everything prom related including dresses, shoes, and jewelry.
Last year hundreds of girls got the opportunity to find the perfect dress.
The founders of the initiative say they have seen girls come all the way from Knoxville, Tennessee to Dungannon, Virginia to get a dress.
This year the organizer of the event, Ann DeWitte, said they have already collected 300 dresses.
If you want to donate, or have questions about how you can participate you can reach DeWitte at 423-754-5585.
DeWitte told us they will hold the 2016 dress event at Hope Community Church in Kingsport but have not yet decided on a date.
Donations can also be made by mail, sending them in to Cinderella Project in care of PLP PO Box 35 Rogersville, TN 37857.
