PAOLI, IN (CNN) – A historic bridge in Paoli, Indiana could be closed for several months after a tractor trailer caused it to collapse.
Emergency crews worked on Friday cleaning up the damage left behind.
Officials say the bridge was built in 1880, and gave was Friday as a semi truck drove across.
According to authorities, the truck was almost six times over the weight limit.
No injuries were reported.
Locals in town are hoping the historic bridge can be rebuilt.
Officials say the bridge could be closed for several months.
