SAN BERNARDINO, CA (CNN) – A UPS facility had to be evacuated and operations temporarily halted Friday night after receiving a package addressed to the home of the San Bernardino mass shooters.
Police say they determined the package is safe and posed no threat.
According to investigators a UPS driver noticed the address on the package was the home of the shooters.
Police say they kept the package in isolation, and as a caution the sheriff’s office deployed bomb technicians to inspect it.
Investigators say Tashifeen Malik and Syed Rizwan Farook burst into the Environmental Health Department holiday party and opened fire.
The attack left 14 people dead and 21 others injured.
The FBI is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.
